AI Content Policy

Effective Date: April 8, 2026 • Last Updated: April 8, 2026

Synti is an AI-powered productivity platform that provides access to text generation, image generation, audio creation, and other AI capabilities through a single unified interface. This AI Content Policy describes how we approach content safety, what outputs are prohibited, and the technical and operational safeguards we employ.

This policy applies to all AI-generated content produced through Synti, regardless of the underlying AI model provider used to generate it. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.

1. Our Approach to AI Safety

Synti operates as a unified SaaS platform. We license access to AI model APIs from leading providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Mistral, Cohere, DeepSeek, and Perplexity) and deliver their capabilities as integrated features of the Synti product. Customers subscribe to Synti as a complete platform — they are not purchasing access to individual third-party AI models.

We take a layered approach to AI safety: we rely on safety systems built into the underlying model providers, and we additionally apply our own content filters, monitoring, and usage policies on top of those systems.

2. Absolutely Prohibited Content

The following categories of AI-generated content are strictly prohibited on Synti under any circumstances:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any AI-generated content that sexualizes minors, or that could be used to produce, distribute, or facilitate the creation of CSAM, is absolutely prohibited. We report any detected CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate fully with law enforcement.
  • Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII) / Deepfakes: Generating synthetic media that depicts a real, identifiable person in a sexual or intimate context without their explicit consent is prohibited. This includes AI-generated "deepfakes" intended for harassment, revenge pornography, or non-consensual distribution.
  • Hate Speech and Incitement to Violence: Content that promotes, glorifies, or incites violence, terrorism, or hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics is prohibited.
  • Disinformation and Synthetic Propaganda: Using AI generation to create large-scale disinformation campaigns, election interference content, or synthetic media designed to deceive the public about real-world events or public figures is prohibited.
  • Malware and Cyberweapons: Generating functional malware, exploit code, phishing kits, or other content designed to attack computer systems or networks is prohibited.
  • Impersonation of Real Individuals: Generating content that falsely depicts a real person as saying or doing something they did not say or do, for the purposes of defamation, fraud, or harassment, is prohibited.

3. Age Restrictions

Synti requires all users to be at least 16 years old to create an account, as stated in our Terms of Service. Users who indicate they are minors will not be permitted to register.

Any content generation features that involve adult themes are subject to additional moderation. Synti does not permit the generation of adult-only content by default. If you believe a minor has created an account on Synti, please contact us immediately at support@synti.co.

4. Content Safety Mechanisms

Synti employs a multi-layered content safety system:

  • Provider-Level Safety: All AI model providers we integrate with (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) maintain their own safety systems, content filters, and usage policies. Requests processed through Synti are subject to these provider-level safety systems.
  • NSFW Filtering: We apply additional NSFW (Not Safe for Work) classification to AI-generated image and media outputs to detect and block sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise harmful visual content before it is displayed to users.
  • Prompt Monitoring: We monitor for patterns of prompts that attempt to circumvent safety filters ("jailbreaking"), generate prohibited content, or violate our Terms of Service. Accounts engaging in repeated attempts to bypass safety systems will be suspended.
  • Usage Anomaly Detection: Automated systems monitor for abnormal usage patterns that may indicate policy abuse or automated misuse of the platform.
  • Human Review: Reports of harmful content are reviewed by our trust and safety team. Confirmed violations result in content removal and appropriate account action.

5. Reporting Harmful Content

If you encounter AI-generated content on Synti that you believe violates this policy or our Terms of Service, please report it immediately:

We aim to acknowledge content safety reports within 24 hours and take appropriate action within 72 hours for critical reports (CSAM, NCII).

6. Enforcement

Violations of this AI Content Policy may result in:

  • Immediate removal of prohibited content.
  • Temporary suspension of AI generation features.
  • Permanent termination of the user's account without refund.
  • Reporting to appropriate authorities where required by law (e.g., CSAM reports to NCMEC/law enforcement).

We reserve the right to take any action necessary to protect users, third parties, and the integrity of the platform.

7. Responsibility for AI Outputs

AI-generated outputs are provided to users for their personal or professional use. Users are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and ensuring that any content they generate, share, or publish using Synti complies with applicable laws and regulations. Synti makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of AI-generated content for any specific purpose. For full terms, see Section 8.2 of our Terms of Service.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this AI Content Policy as our platform evolves and as regulatory requirements change. Material changes will be communicated via email and by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of Synti following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
